Programs
Since its founding in 1994, IRA-INC has assisted Iranians seeking refuge in different parts of the world with legal advice, representation and/or with humanitarian assistance.
Our clients have been from different sectors of the Iranian society and have included ex-political prisoners; persons active or perceived to be active with political organizations; independent human rights activists, lawyers, writers, journalists, students, men and women accused of illicit sex with same or opposite sex, persons fleeing because of their Baha'i, Christian, and Ahle-haq religious faith, Moslem converts to Christianity, Zoroastrianism and Judaism; women fleeing intimate violence (battering, marital rape, non-spousal violence, ....), forced marriage, and discriminatory divorce and custody laws in Iran; and children fleeing abuse by their parents.
